11th Steelie Awards Shortlist Announced by worldsteel

The World Steel Association (worldsteel) announced shortlist for the 11th Steelie Awards. The awards recognize individuals and member companies for their outstanding contributions to the global steel industry over the past one-year period.

The shortlisted companies for the ‘Excellence in Digital Communications’ category of the award are JSW Steel Limited, MetinvestHolding LLC, POSCO, Tata Steel Limited and Ternium. JSW Steel, Tata Steel Limited, Tenaris and Ternium have been shortlisted for the “Excellence in Communications Programmes’ award. The shortlist for ‘Excellence in Education and Training’ category of awards comprises of EVRAZ, JSW Steel Limited, Tata Steel Limited, Ternium and TMK(PAO).

The final competitors for ‘Excellence in Lifecycle Assessment’ award are China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited, HYUNDAI Steel Company, JSW Steel Limited, Tata Steel Europe and Tata Steel Limited. The final winner of ‘Excellence in Sustainability’ award will be selected from Gerdau S.A., JFE Steel Corporation, NLMK Group, POSCO, Ternium and USIMINAS. The shortlist for ‘Innovation of the Year’ award includes Big River Steel, JFE Steel Corporation, POSCO and Severstal.

The contenders for the ‘Journalist of the Year’ award are Hongmei Li of MySteel Global, Colin Richardson of Argus Media and Annalisa Villa of S&P Global Patts.

The 11th Steelie Award winners will be declared on Wednesday, 14th October, 2020.
