Alcoa resumes 95% of capacity at Portland Aluminium Smelter

A was reported that Alcoa’s Portland Aluminium Smelter, located in Portland, Victoria, Australia, had resumed production, with an annual production capacity of 35,000 tons. This smelter’s production has been declining so far.

After the resumption, the smelter started producing nearly 95% of its actual capacity. Besides, Alcoa is now preparing a consolidated capacity of roughly 186,000 tons.

This aluminum smelter created around 30 new job vacancies, bringing a big impact on the Portland area.
