Aluminum production increased in Q1 of Vedanta’s

An aluminum producer in India vedanta, reported that its aluminum production totaled nearly 550,000 tons in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2022, hiking by 17% compared to the same period a year ago.

During the period, Vedanta’s cast metal aluminum production, including trial run, at its aluminum smelters at Jharsuguda and BALCO amounted to 549,000 tons, growing by 3% from the previous quarter and also rising by 17% year on year. The increase was mainly due to the ramp-up of its potlines.
