Ebert highlighted that AML3D is advancing into its next growth strategy phase by capitalising on demand from the US Navy’s Submarine Industrial Base to broaden its reach into allied defence markets. In addition to the contract with BAE Systems, the company is actively pursuing further opportunities with other U.K.-based defence partners.
AML3D CEO Sean Ebert said, “AML3D has been developing its relationship with the BAE Systems for over a year. It is very exciting to see that work translate into an initial contract from BAE Systems. It is even more exciting that this contract is planned to be just the first and I look forward to giving updates on additional contracts as the programme progress. AML3D is moving into the next phase of our growth strategy, which includes leveraging the extraordinary growth and demand we are experiencing within the US Navy’s Submarine industrial base to expand into the Australia and the UK defence sectors.”
The agreement with BAE Systems aligns with AML3D’s broader strategy to scale its operations through targeted defence and industrial partnerships. In the first half of 2024, around 80 per cent of the company’s sales came from U.S.-based customers, underscoring its expanding presence in the American market. To support this growing demand, AML3D established a US Technology Centre and secured a A$2.27 million contract with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to supply 3D-printed components for essential power generation infrastructure.
