Aperam, a leading manufacturer of stainless, electrical, and specialty steel, announced on December 27, 2021 that it has completed the acquisition of ELG, a global leader in stainless steel and superalloys recycling, for EUR 357 million. All necessary regulatory approvals for the acquisition have been obtained without conditions.

ELG collects, trades, processes, and recycles stainless steel scrap and high-performance alloys, with a delivery of 1.2 million tons of materials every year.

From December 31, 2021, ELG will be fully consolidated into the recycling department of the Aperam Group.
