It was reported that ArcelorMittal has invested 13 million euros to upgrade its steel plant in France recently, which specializes in the production of electromagnetic steel sheets for automobiles.

The upgrade was aimed to increase its production capacity for high-end non-directional iCARe electromagnetic steel sheets to meet the increasing demand of the electric vehicle market.

Electromagnetic steel sheets are mainly used to manufacture electric motors. ArcelorMittal stated that iCARe electromagnetic steel sheets have the advantages of high strength, low magnetic loss, and high polarity.
