ArcelorMittal to resume production of blast furnace A at Spanish plant

Due to the very high energy prices last year, European steel market prices and demand declined sharply. Under this situation, ArcelorMittal, one of the biggest steel-making groups in the world, decided to temporarily close its blast furnace A at its steel mill in Asturias, Spain.

Recently, the market situations become better, so ArcelorMittal planned to resume the production of this furnace from next Monday. However, the production capacity of this blast furnace would be reduced.
