Airfoil, a prominent Australian manufacturer of air conditioning grills and sheet metal accessories, has announced a major sustainability initiative by adopting LocAl® Green, lower-carbon aluminum from Capral. This move is designed to enhance Airfoil's environmental credentials and meet the rising market demand for sustainable building materials.

The switch to LocAl® Green aluminum, which features lower carbon emissions compared to traditional aluminum, underscores Airfoil's commitment to environmental responsibility. Compared to the global average carbon emission for primary aluminum with approximately 12.4 kg CO2e/kg Al, Capral's LocAl® Green emits 8kg CO2e/kg Al, while LocAl® Super Green has an even lower emission rate of 4kg CO2e/kg Al, among the lowest globally.
