Ball Corporation, a provider of metal packaging in the US, announced that it will build a new aluminum beverage packaging plant in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Many production lines will be set up, which will be put into operation at the end of 2022. Nearly 180 jobs will be created after the plant is operated with full production.

Kathleen Pitre, head of beverage packaging in the North and Central American regions at Ball Corp., said that the new plant was aimed to meet the continued growing demand for recyclable aluminum containers in the market.

Ball Corp. planned to invest nearly US$290 million in the North Las Vegas plant in the next few years, and the plant will provide its customers with a series of cans of innovative sizes.
