Ball mulling to close beverage packaging plant in Wallkill, New York

Ball Corporation, a provider of metal packaging in the US, is considering the closure of its beverage packaging plant in Wallkill, New York. The news has been informed to employees and the relevant union.

Ball said that there are restrictions on the plant’s expansion and upgrade due to space, land, and equipment, so it is considering shifting the production to other facilities.

The plant was established in 1972, with the can production of different sizes. Ball is the only supplier of this kind of product in the area.
