Baogang Steel's long products plant successfully test-rolled 1Cr13, 2Cr13, and 3Cr13 stainless steel wire rods on its No. 1 production line, adding new products to Baogang’s wire rod product portfolio, strengthening its competitive edge.
These specialty wire rods contain 12% to 14% chrome, offering superior corrosion resistance and high strength. Producing them required overcoming high technical difficulty, demanding extremely precise control over temperature and equipment during rolling.
The plant mobilized a coordinated work across all departments to optimize heating and cooling processes, ensuring stable quality control throughout.
The successful trial pushes Baogang to expand into the high-end stainless steel market.
