Blastr Green Steel has entered into a preliminary agreement with Aurora Infrastructure to construct electricity distribution facilities for its planned steel plant in Finland. The deal follows a build, own, and operate (BOO) model, under which Aurora will design, build, operate, maintain, and finance the facilities in Inkoo.

Aurora Infrastructure, a Finnish provider of electricity networks, specializes in network development, investments, and maintenance. This partnership will reduce Blastr's capital investment and enable the company to focus on its core operations, according to Mikael Lindvall, Blastr's chief technical officer.

The collaboration marks a crucial step in developing Blastr's low-emission, mine-to-gate steel value chain.
