Brazilian iron ore exports increase in Feb

According to the new data from Brazil's Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), in February, Brazil's iron ore exports amounted to about 28.3 million tons, decreasing by 3.4% month on month but growing by 21.4% year on year. Meanwhile, the export value totaled US$2.8 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 3.4% but a year-on-year increase of 41.4%.

In the first two months, Brazilian iron ore exports were about 57.6 million tons, growing by 20.4% from the same period of last year. In the same period, the export value totaled nearly US$5.62 billion, hiking by 48.9% year on year. Among them, China imported most of Brazil's iron ore in the first two months, accounting for 66% of total Brazilian iron ore exports. The followings were Malaysia (5.8%) and Oman (3.2%).
