Vale, the world's largest iron ore company, recently announced that its first iron ore briquette plant has started load testing at the Tubarao Unit in Vitoria, Brazil, which means that the official production is very close.

The briquette has a high mechanical strength because of the binder technology solution which can condense high-quality iron ore at low temperatures.

In addition, compared to the traditional blast furnace process, the briquette's GHG emissions during production will be reduced by 10%. The briquette can also be used for direct reduction routes, replacing the pellet.
