According to statistics from Brazil’s Ministry of the Economy, the country’s alumina exports totaled around 901,000 tons in October this year, hiking by 84.73% compared to the same month a year ago. The growth was mainly due to an increase in the shipment from Alunorte and Alumar alumina refineries.

During the given period, the shipment from the Port of Belem was roughly 464,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 142%.
