Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio (CBA), the largest aluminum producer in Brazil, said it had restarted Smelter 3 at its aluminum plant in the state of São Paulo, which will raise the net aluminum production by 25,000 tons to 375,000 tons.

Besides, new technology has been installed in most of Smelter 3 furnaces, scheduled to be completed in September, which will realize cleaner production by reducing CO2 emissions, and it will support the company’s strategy of supplying low-carbon aluminum to the market.
