Brazil's crude steel production decreases in Jul

According to the Brazil Steel Institute (IABr), Brazil produced roughly 2.82 million tons of crude steel in July, going down by 3.5% from the previous month and 8.7% from the same period a year ago. The total output from January to July was about 20.3 million tons, decreasing by 3.5% year on year.

In July, Brazil produced approximately 2.13 million tons of steel products, increasing by 9.6% month on month while down by 6.8% year on year. The output of steel flats was around 1.2 million tons and 920,000 tons of long products.

Besides, Brazil produced about 2.16 million pig iron in July, sliding by 5% compared with a month ago and 12.1% year on year.
