According to statistics from Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX), Brazil’s wire rod exports totaled roughly 34,000 tons in March, surging by 76% compared to the preceding month.
Among them, exports were mainly to South American countries, with around 23,000 tons, followed by 7,900 tons to the US and 2,500 tons to the Dominican Republic. The supply from ArcelorMittal accounted for the largest share, totaling roughly 29,000 tons.
During the same period, Brazil’s wire rod imports reached approximately 31,000 tons, a month-on-month jump of 183%. Among them, Egypt was the biggest import source with roughly 16,000 tons, and China ranked second with nearly 14,000 tons.
