Bulgarian Alcomet puts new rolling mill into operation

Alcomet, a Bulgarian producer of aluminum foils, flat-rolled products, and profiles, said it has put its new rolling mill into operation, and its annual production capacity was expected to rise to 85,000 tons accordingly.

In the first nine months, Alcomet's output had a year-on-year increase of 3.1% to around 53,000 tons, and its sales rose by 5.7% year on year to roughly 54,000 tons.

During the same period, the firm’s operating income reached 263 million BGN, a year-on-year decrease of 4%; the consolidated net profit was 818,000 BGN, a year-on-year drop of 1.4%.
