CAAM: China’s car sales expected to slide in Apr

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the sales volume of China’s car industry was expected to reach 2.17 million units in April this year, sliding by nearly 14% compared to the previous month while increasing by 5% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the sales volume of passenger cars had a year-on-year increase of 7.1%, and that of commercial vehicles had a year-on-year drop of 0.1%.

In the first four months this year, China’s automobile industry was expected to reach a sales volume of roughly 8.66 million units, growing by 50.3% year on year.
