According to Kirsten Hillman, Canada's Ambassador to the US, Canada didn’t rule out the possibility to retaliate with tariffs on agricultural products if the US decided to reimpose tariffs on Canadian aluminum.

Hillman said that the agreement to lift the tariffs on Canada in May 2019 meant that the retaliative tariffs will be only limited to aluminum and aluminum products; however, Canada might retaliate to impose tariffs on something other than aluminum if the US didn’t respect the deal they previously reached.
