US-based Century Aluminum Company applauded the Biden Administration’s final guidance for 45X advanced manufacturing tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act.

This decision reinforces US production of critical minerals, including primary aluminum, strengthening US leadership in sustainable manufacturing and securing supply chains for essential materials.

The rule includes certain raw materials in the production cost calculations for tax credits to support domestic manufacturing of primary aluminum and critical minerals.

Jesse Gary, President and Chief Executive Officer of Century Aluminum, is satisfied with the inclusion of raw materials in tax credit calculations.
