Century Aluminum reaches preliminary agreement on power supply

It was reported that Century Aluminum has reached a preliminary agreement with South Carolina Public Service Authority (Santee Cooper) for the power supply at an aluminum plant in Mount Holly.

The new contract needs time to obtain governmental approvals, so the original schedule was extended by three months from December 31, 2020. The period of this new supply contract was expected to be April 1, 2021 to December 2023.
