Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd. (Chevron) has signed a long-term agreement with Alcoa of Australia Limited (Alcoa), a provider of bauxite, alumina and aluminum products.

Under the deal, Chevron will supply Alcoa with natural gas from its Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities and North West Shelf Venture in Western Australia for ten years from January 1, 2028, totaling 130 petajoules (PJ).

Gorgon and Wheatstone's domestic gas facilities produce 530 terajoules of natural gas per day for the Western Australian market, which accounts for about half of the region’s gas supply, while Chevron holds a one-sixth interest in the North West Shelf Venture.

Chevron said this collaboration will continue to support Western Australia’s energy security and economic development.
