According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, China’s imports of aluminum ore and its concentrate totaled roughly 15.6 million tons in August, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%. Alumina exports totaled 140,000 tons, falling by 1.9% year on year.
In the first eight months of the year, China’s imports of aluminum ore and its concentrate amounted to 107.9 million tons, growing by 12% compared to the same period last year. Alumina exports reached 1.1 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 30.6%.
