The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) said that it will focus on works about electric furnace steelmaking, development and utilization of scrap resources, and encouraging the export of high-end products.

In terms of electric furnace steelmaking, the CISA planned to conduct research in regions with many electric furnace steelmaking enterprises, such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Sichuan, and explore raw materials for electric furnace steelmaking and related technical issues.

As for the development and utilization of scrap resources, the CISA aimed to revise the standards for recycled steel raw materials, simplify taxation, strengthen the cultivation of leading enterprises, and hope the National Bureau of Statistics to include scrap in the scope of statistics.
