China’s A00 aluminium ingot price stands above RMB20100/t post Qingming Festival; Low carbon aluminium price expands to RMB21002/t

On Monday, April 8, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price expanded by RMB 360 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,110 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 70 per tonne. The average prices may range between RMB 20,090 per tonne and RMB 20,130 per tonne. The domestic aluminium ingot price on M-o-M calculation has shot up by RMB 950 per tonne from RMB 19,160 per tonne recorded on March 8.

As of today, the prices have shown growth in all the provinces, with the highest in Shenyang, where they have surged by RMB 420 per tonne to arrive at RMB 20,070 per tonne. This was followed by a hike of RMB 390 per tonne in Tianjin to RMB 20,110 per tonne. In Foshan and Chongqing, the A00 aluminium ingot prices have surged by RMB 370 per tonne and RMB 360 per tonne to dock at RMB 20,090 per tonne and RMB 20,060 per tonne, respectively.

For Wuxi, Hangzhou and Linyi, the A00 aluminium ingot prices have expanded by RMB 360 per tonne to halt at RMB 20,110 per tonne, respectively. In Gongyi, the aluminium ingot price has ascended by RMB 350 per tonne to RMB 20,020 per tonne.
