China’s alumina price ascends to RMB 2,985/t; A00 aluminium ingot price slips by RMB150/t

On Tuesday, October 17, the average alumina spot price in China added RMB 6 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,985 per tonne, followed by a growth of RMB 10 per tonne in Shandong, Henan and Shanxi to peg at RMB 2,950 per tonne, RMB 2,990 per tonne and RMB 3,005 per tonne. In Shanxi, the price has increased by RMB 5 per tonne to reside at RMB 2,995 per tonne.
As per the Shanghai Metal Exchange (SMM), China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has fallen by RMB 150 per tonne to close at RMB 18,900 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 18,880 per tonne and RMB 18,920 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a premium price of RMB 70 to RMB 110 per tonne. The prices have shown a descend in all the provinces, with the highest in Chongqing, where it has slumped by RMB 180 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,910 per tonne.
