China’s aluminum & alumina production grows in 2020

According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS), China's aluminum production totaled around 57.8 million tons in 2020, increasing by 8.6% compared to the previous year.

Among them, the production was mainly in Shandong with roughly 11.38 million tons, followed by Henan's 10.32 million tons and Guangdong's 5.28 million tons.

In terms of alumina, China produced approximately 73.13 million tons in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 0.3%, of which the output from Shandong accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 28 million tons.
