China’s aluminum ore & concentrate imports rise in 2020

According to statistics, China’s imports of aluminum ore and concentrate totaled 7.5 million tons in December 2020, dropping by 15.3% compared to the same month a year ago. During the same period, the imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products reached around 265,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 147.3%.

In 2020, China’s imports of aluminum ore and concentrate amounted to approximately 111.6 million tons, hiking by nearly 11% year on year; the exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products came to roughly 2.7 tons, a year-on-year increase of 318.7%.
