China’s coal imports hike in Nov

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, China imported around 32.3 million tons of coal in November, hiking by 10.7% compared to the previous month but dropping by 7.8% from the same month a year ago.

During the period, the value generated by these imports rose by 17% month on month and dropped by 26% year on year to US$4.34 billion.

In the first eleven months of this year, China’s coal imports amounted to 262.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.1%. The import value totaled US$38.4 billion, up by nearly 25% year on year.
