China's fastener exports to Russia decrease in 2023

According to data from China's customs, in 2023, China's fastener exports to Russia totaled about 289,000 tons, decreasing by 3% from the previous year. The export value amounted to US$442 million, decreasing by 11% compared to 2022.

The market participants said that China was Russia's main import source for fasteners. Meanwhile, Russia is increasing its investment in infrastructure construction, and its fasteners and hardware industries depend on imports a lot.
