The month-on-month decrease was due to the slowdown in the seasonal demand and production restrictions at the end of June. Besides, the average HRC prices in the domestic market dropped as HRC futures prices were in a downward trend and demand from downstream buyers weakened during the period.
In the first half of this year, China’s HRC production reached roughly 94.74 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.8%.
