China's imported bauxite consumption hikes in Aug

According to statistics, the consumption of imported bauxite in China totaled around 9.4 million tons in August, up by 9.26% compared to the previous month and also rising by 14.7% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the consumption in Shandong accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 6.6 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 8.21%; followed by Shanxi, Henan, Chongqing, and Inner Mongolia.

In the first eight months of this year, China’s imported bauxite consumption reached roughly 69.3 million tons, rising by nearly 19% compared to the same period a year ago.
