China’s steel exports are expected to reach 117 million tons in 2025, showing continued strong international demand. This figure is predicted to surpass the 110.7 million tons exported in 2024, keeping exports above the 100-million-ton threshold for the second consecutive year.

Data from the General Administration of Customs of China showed that iron ore imports in November reached 110.54 million tons, the seventh month this year exceeding 100 million tons. Cumulative imports from January to November totaled around 1.14 billion tons. The annual total is expected to rise to 1.24 billion tons, establishing a new historical high for the second consecutive year.
