China’s Nanshan Aluminium builds 2-million-ton alumina project in Indonesia

Shandong Nanshan Aluminium Co., Ltd., a China-based aluminum company, said on September 15 that it has built a 2-million-ton alumina project in Indonesia, of which the first phase of 1 million tons was officially put into production in May and the second phase of 1 million tons will be start production in the first half of 2022.

The project is designed with port terminals, which can meet the project and the future business demand in the park.

Meanwhile, Nanshan Aluminium is also studying the feasibility of extending the Indonesian alumina project to downstream.
