China's non-ferrous metal industrial added value rises in Jan-Jul

According to the data from China's National Bureau of Statistics, from January to July, the industrial added value of the non-ferrous metal sector increased by about 6% year on year, of which the output of ten non-ferrous metals was 42.32 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7%.

In particular, the output of refined copper was 7.32 million tons and the output of primary aluminum was 23.62 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.6% and 2.8%, respectively.

However, from January to July, non-ferrous metal prices fell year on year. Among them, the average spot prices of copper, aluminum, zinc, nickel, and battery-grade lithium carbonate decreased by 2.4%, 11.7%, 14.6%, 8%, and 29.4% year on year, respectively.

At the same time, the import of ore maintained growth, and the export of processed materials decreased year on year.
