China’s passenger vehicle production & sales grow in 2021

According to statistics, the production and sales of passenger vehicles in China reached around 21.41 million and 21.48 million units in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 7.1% and 6.5% respectively.
In terms of new energy passenger vehicles, the sales amounted to 3.33 million units in 2021, a year-on-year surge of 181%. The market penetration rate also rose to 14.8% from last year’s 5.8%.
