China’s primary aluminum imports slide in Apr

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, China imported a total of roughly 34,900 tons of primary aluminum in April this year, sliding by 11.6% compared to the preceding month and also sliding by 77.6% from the corresponding period a year ago.

Among them, Russia was the largest source of primary aluminum during the period, with a total of around 31,200 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.6% and a year-on-year growth of 48.8%.
