China's seamless pipe prices remain firm

Since the beginning of this year, the seamless pipe domestic price in China has continued soaring.
According to collected data of closed deals, in April China's average daily turnovers of seamless pipe was 12,500 tons. As May arrived, although the demand for the mentioned product turned weak, since the supply remained weak as well, it was estimated that the price of seamless pipe could still remain stable relatively.
Meanwhile, due to heavy cost pressure on both upstream and downstream users, the market is already expecting the seamless pipe price to go down. It was also expected that the shortage of billet resources could be eased in June.
