China’s stainless steel exports rebound in Jul

The production of stainless steel in some areas of China has resumed with the gradual easing of the COVID-19 epidemic in various countries, so China’s stainless steel exports rebounded in July, but the figure was still low.

According to statistics, China exported around 259,000 tons of stainless steel in July, up by 9.25% compared to the previous month while dripping by 21.4% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Taiwan had a month-on-month increase of nearly 6.0% to 31,000 tons; those to South Korea were roughly 33,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 6.4%, which have fallen for four consecutive months; those to Vietnam were around 24,000 tons, up by 57.4% from last month.

In the first seven months of this year, China totally exported approximately 1.87 million tons of stainless steel, reducing by 7.7% year on year.
