China's stainless steel products imports, exports hike in Jan-Mar

According to the report, China imported approximately 608,000 tons of stainless steel products from January to March, increasing by 147,000 tons or 31.93% from the same period a year ago. Indonesia was the major supplier with around 534,000 tons, rising by 190,000 tons or yearly.

At the same time, China exported about 1.06 million tons of stainless steel products, increasing by 94,000 tons or 9.77% year on year.

In March, China imported 152,000 tons, decreasing by about 70,000 tons or 31.35% from a month ago, and 30,000 tons or 23.81% year on year. The export volume was roughly 386,000 tons, rising by 128,000 tons or 49.59% month on month, and 37,000 tons or 10.57% year on year.
