China's steel exports in 2024 to face opportunities & challenges simultaneously

In 2024, China's steel export market will face opportunities and challenges at the same time. The opportunities included that Vietnam and Malaysia, to some degree, still rely on Eastern Asia's flat products. Meanwhile, the appreciation motivation of the Chinese Yuan is still weak. These factors might benefit China's steel exports.

However, global trade protectionism was raised, and the issue of the carbon market further restricted China's steel exports. Besides, the steel supply from Black Sea countries was expected to recover, which further made the global steel market more competitive.
