China's steel exports increase in May

According to data from China's customs, in May, China's steel exports totaled about 9.63 million tons, increasing by 4.4% or 407,000 tons from the previous month.

Meanwhile, steel imports decreased by 3.2% or 21,000 tons month on month to about 637,000 tons.

In the first five months, China exported steel with 44.65 million tons, increasing by 24.7% from the same period last year.

Besides, the imports totaled 3.043 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.7%.
