China’s tinplate & chrome plate exports & imports statistics in Aug

According to statistics, China's tinplate exports totaled around 103,000 tons in August, falling by 49.5% compared to the same month a year ago. Exports of chrome plate in August totaled around 30,000 tons, down by 33.4% year on year.
In the first eight months of this year, China's tinplate exports amounted to approximately 1.02 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.1%. Chrome plate exports reached roughly 246,000 tons, falling by 16.5% year on year.
In terms of imports, China imported around 980 tons of tinplate in August, surging by 129% year on year. Chrome plate imports were 126 tons, compared to only 2.3 tons in August last year.
Imports of tinplate in the January-August period amounted to nearly 6,000 tons, a year-on-year hike of 19.7%. Chrome plate imports during the period totaled around 729 tons, soaring by 116% year on year.
