Colombia’s crude steel & longs output rises in Oct

According to statistics from Comité Colombiano de Productores de Acero (CCPA), the local steel producers' association, Colombia’s crude steel output totaled around 130,100 tons in October this year, up by 3.6% compared to the previous month and also rising by nearly 36% from the same month a year ago.

During the period, Colombia’s output of long steel products totaled around 143,600 tons, dropping by 2.1% compared to the previous month while rising by 43.6% year on year.

In the first ten months of this year, Colombia’s crude steel output had a year-on-year increase of 41.3% to around 1.1 million tons, and the output of long steel products was up by nearly 28% year on year to 1.3 million tons.
