Following the gradual recovery after COVID-19, the demands of the stainless steel in East Asia had largely increased which made the price of imported stainless steel coil rise as well. One of the countries in East Asia, South Korea, had a significant rising rate of demand in July.

The prices from China, one of the big export countries of stainless steel hot-rolled coil, were always higher than those from others, but the price gap had become narrow as the prices in other countries had increased, too.

According to the traders, although the traders said that some buyers had kept a cautious attitude, they had actually returned to the market a few weeks ago.
