EC modified safeguard measures for certain steel products

According to the report, the European Commission (EC) has modified steel safeguard measures for certain steel products to meet regulations from the World Trade Origination (WTO), in which the EC has implemented safeguard measure to alleviate the trade damage.

Before that, the WTO appealed European Union (EU)’s measures must conform to safeguard measures and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). In addition, the EU and Turkey also reach a consensus, which modified safeguard measures for certain steel products on January 16th. Turkey is one of the largest steel suppliers in Europe, as well as in Asia and CIS.
