EU imposes definitive AD duties on stainless steel cold-rolled flat products from India, Indonesia

According to an announcement on November 18, 2021, the EU has decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping (AD) duty on imports of stainless steel cold-rolled flat products originating in India and Indonesia, as a result of an investigation initiated on September 30, 2020 following a complaint filed by the European Steel Association (Eurofer) representing more than 25% of the total production of these products in the EU.

The AD duty rate for India’s Jindal Stainless Limited and Jindal Stainless Hisar Limited was set at 13.9%, and that for all other Indian companies was at 35.3%. Indonesia’s IRNC was assigned a duty rate of 10.2%, and other Indonesian producers will be subject to a definitive AD duty of 20.2%.

The products involved are classified under CN codes 7219 31 00, 7219 32 10, 7219 32 90, 7219 33 10, 7219 33 90, 7219 34 10, 7219 34 90, 7219 35 10, 7219 35 90, 7219 90 20, 7219 90 80, 7220 20 21, 7220 20 29, 7220 20 41, 7220 20 49, 7220 20 81, 7220 20 89, 7220 90 20, and 7220 90 80.
