EU makes final ruling of second AD sunset review on China's aluminum foil

On March 10, 2022, the European Commission announced its final determination to continue to impose a definitive anti-dumping (AD) duty on imports of certain aluminum foil originating in China, including subject goods consigned from Thailand, whether declared as originating in Thailand or not.

The AD duty rate for Alcoa (Shanghai) Aluminium Products and Alcoa (Bohai) Aluminium Industries was set at 6.4%, that for Shandong Loften Aluminium Foil was at 20.3%, that for Zhenjiang Dingsheng Aluminium was 24.2%, and that for all other China’s companies was 30.0%.

The period of investigation was from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020, and the injury assessment period was from January 1, 2017 to the end of the review investigation period.

The products involved are under CN codes ex 7607 11 19 and ex 7607 11 90 (TARIC codes 7607 11 19 10, 7607 11 19 30, 7607 11 19 40, 7607 11 19 50, 7607 11 90 44, 7607 11 90 46, 7607 11 90 71, and 7607 11 90 72).
